The Big Balloon Build is coming to Greeley. It will be only the 4th of its kind in the United States and will not return to Northern Colorado anytime soon, if ever.


75 Balloon artists from around the world will come to Greeley, donating their time and travel expenses. Using 125,000 balloons, they will build a one-of-a-kind, immersive, balloon art installation in the ballroom of the Aims Welcome Center in just 3 ½ days. The theme is space!


The purpose of the Big Balloon Build  is to utilize the power of balloon decor to raise awareness and funds for a local charity.


Allison Dunning, with Balloon Art by Merry Markers, was selected to host the Big Balloon Build in Greeley and chose Life Stories, a charity that advocates for children who have been abused or neglected in Weld County, to be the charity to benefit from the event. Together, they are working with Stuart Davis, the Producer of the Big Balloon Build to host 5 days of events to raise funds for their programs

and bring awareness to the issue of child abuse.

Allison Dunning has lived in Greeley with her husband Brian and their three daughters for over 23 years now.


Allison has been working to bring the Big Balloon Build to Greeley for 2 years now.   She has donated countless hours, ideas, funds and energy to this amazing event.   She is overjoyed to HOST her friends and colleagues in her hometown of Greeley. Don't underestimate the power of a dream and a vision for greatness.  In a world where so many things are hard to understand, Allison is bringing Joy through the power of balloons and helping a charity that means so much to her, raise funds and awareness so that Life Stories Child & Family advocacy can help more children.


Merry Makers LLC is my corporate entity. I operate two DBA’s under that umbrella: Balloon Art by Merry Makers and the Balloon Boutique.

Balloon Art by Merry Makers is the Mobile Balloonery & Balloon decorating Arm of the world Allison has built.  Working with Corporate & Company Event Planners to create fun, fabulous and friendly events out

of balloons. Allison is also a founding distributor for BalloonPlanet.com.


Balloon Art by Merry Makers is known for creating Award Winning dance floor canopies, Award Winning Balloon Walls, arches, columns, balloon drops, and bouquets that will make your event stand out from the rest!


The Balloon Boutique is a new retail balloon and candy store in downtown Greeley. The Balloon Boutique offers customers the chance to hand select elements for smaller arrangements and watch as they are inflated, twisted and assembled–the chance to “taste” the wondrous experience that ultimately drew Allison to the craft over 20 years ago!


Merry Makers LLC (being the parent company) is an entertainment business that provides Award Winning balloon artists, face painting, glitter tattoos, caricatures, Santa and Mrs. Claus!

ABOUT OUR CHARITY

Since 1998, Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy has facilitated a collaborative approach to the prevention, investigation and response to child abuse and neglect through our two nationally accredited programs, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate Program) and the Child Advocacy Center. Our programs serve over 600 child victims per year. We also offer Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children®, a program that teaches adults to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. 


At Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy, we believe that every child should live a life free of abuse in a safe, permanent home. We listen to stories and advocate on behalf of children who have been abused and neglected so that our children will have a better tomorrow.

We promise to create a responsive community where every life story is honored and valued as we advocate for children and families with compassion and respect.

Small Steps, Giant Leaps

Hosted by Balloon Art by Merry Makers, the Big Balloon Build is being brought to Greeley, Colorado to raise funds and awareness for Life Stories, Child and Family Advocacy. Child abuse and neglect is not an exciting topic, but we are excited for this opportunity to raise both money and awareness for a local charity that does so much for children throughout Northern Colorado.


Aims Community College has generously donated the use of their new Welcome Center to build this immersive Balloon Wonderland Experience.  There are a variety of opportunities for the community to get involved in Colorado's Big Balloon Build. Through networking, STEAM activities, our amazing Gala-xy Experience, a food truck night with live music, and so much more! Don't miss out!
